What is World Chain?

World Chain is a human-first Ethereum Layer 2 network built on OP Stack. It uses World ID’s Proof of Personhood to create a fairer, easier-to-use on-chain experience.

Its core mechanism gives verified users prioritized inclusion and a capped gas-fee subsidy, mitigating bot-driven congestion and costs.

Tokenomics

  • ETH — The network gas token used to pay fees for transfers and other transactions.

  • Gas Allowance for Humans— Users will receive WLD tokens and gas-fee subsidies, lowering the barrier to participating in on-chain activities.

How to use World Chain with imToken?

Creating a World Chain account

To create a World Chain account, navigate to "My Profile" -> "Manage wallets" -> "Add". In the Popular section, swipe left, select the "World Chain" network, and confirm. Then, return to the wallet homepage to access your newly created World Chain account.

Note: The Popular section lists networks that have been accessed most frequently in recent days. If you don’t see the World Chain network there, look under the Layer 2 section.

Receiving and transferring funds

In the World Chain account, you can click "Transfer" or "Receive" and then perform the corresponding operation.

Receiving

Click "Receive ", share the QR code or copy the address and send it to the other party.

Transferring

Click "Transfer", set the type and amount of token you want to transfer, enter the recipient's  address, and then click "Next".

Note: Before making a transfer, please ensure that your account has sufficient ETH to cover the gas fee.
